The 3rd-generation Pilot has a refined powertrain, thanks to the 3.5-liter i-VTEC Earth Dreams Technology V6 engine with direct injection and Variable Cylinder Management. This engine includes Idle Stop technology for better fuel efficiency than ever before. Even the transmissions have been improved, with the choice of a 6-speed automatic or a 9-speed automatic, something Honda vehicles have never featured in the past.

Drivers familiar with previous models will notice improvements to the technology in the 2016 Honda Pilot. There are now 5 USB ports, including 4 that can recharge devices via their 2.5-amp output. Drivers also get 2 12-volt power outlets, 2 headphone jacks, and more. There is even the latest version of Display Audio, featuring an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen. For the first time, Pilot owners can also pick a model with Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation, helping them find their way even in unfamiliar areas.

Even the safety technology for the 2016 Pilot has been updated, with the ability to select Honda Sensing. This technology suite improves driver awareness and keeps you and your passengers safe with such features as Blind Spot Indicators and Lane Keeping Assist System.

Family-Friendly Design and Capabilities

As always, the new Pilot is your ideal family vehicle, with 3 rows of seating and a cargo area that is large enough to store an 82-quart cooler when all the seats are occupied.
