Who doesn’t love a good scare around Halloween? Haunted houses are awesome fun, as long as you can handle ghouls and monsters jumping out at you and making you scream. Any of these haunted houses make for a great night out – but we don’t recommend going alone!
Camp Fear, Omaha
Located at RiverWest Park, Camp Fear is not so much a haunted house as it is a haunting experience. Come in the evening to experience Bloodrush, a terrifying forest of fright. And if you’re brave enough, bring a tent and stay the whole wickedly scary night.
Carnival of Terror, Omaha
This ultra-scary haunted attraction is located in the “underbelly” of Hollywood Candy/Fairmont Antiques in Omaha’s Old Market (which is, frankly, already really creepy on its own). Are you brave enough to descend into terror?
Eagle Hollow Haunts, Eagle
Walk through a luminescent alien world, then stumble through the darkness to find your way back to civilization after being abandoned by a crazed bus driver. Make your way through the demented dreams of a little girl, then sit down with Dr. Shots and Nurse Ivy for an injection of some much-needed liquid courage. Eagle Hollow is a wildly creative terror trip with lots of experiences waiting to be had.
Scary Acres, Omaha
Scary Acres is home to three of Omaha’s favorite haunted attractions: the Haunted Woods, The House on the Hill, and Master’s Castle. This 20+ acre destination grows and changes every year, which is why most people who have a great scare there return year after year.
Haunted Hollow, Omaha
Haunted Hollow boasts more attractions than any other haunted house in the area. More than 20 attractions are packed onto a seven-acre farm, and with extras like live music, bonfires, and creepy car shows, it’s kind of like the grown-up version of a kid-oriented pumpkin patch.
Mystery Manor, Omaha
Said to be the only haunted attraction in the area that is located in an actual haunted house, Mystery Manor has been creeping people out for many years. Paranormal investigators have claimed that the restless spirits here are real – and around Halloween, they’re aided by some very talented, very creepy actors who will make you jump out of your skin over and over.
