It’s Time To Clean Those Easy-To-Forget Spots

Systematically tidy closet drawer

Spring cleaning is almost here! You may be thinking of the standard and expected things to clean up and get rid of, but this year we challenge you to think outside the box. What are some items you commonly use but hardly ever clean? If your mind has suddenly drawn a blank then don’t worry, that’s what we’re here to help you with today. Here are a few items we know we use all the time, but rarely clean!

Air Vents And Fans

Air vents are something we use daily, but we rarely look at them and take the time to check on their cleanliness level. If you can’t remember the last time you thought about your air vents, then it’s definitely time to clean them. Take off the vent cover and grab your vacuum, it’s time to remove the surprisingly large amount of dust and dirt back there.

While you’re at it, think about the last time you dusted your fans. If it has been a while, grab a dusting cloth and wipe them down. Your whole home will feel cleaner just from doing these two tasks.

Drawers

We use them for so many things. Clothes, dishes, silverware, and much more. The items inside drawers get constantly taken out and washed, but what about the drawers themselves? Take the time to wipe out any dirt and dust that has settled into your drawers in order to keep all your things inside them as clean as can be.

Headphones

With all the Zoom meetings we’ve all been on lately, headphones of any kind have been constantly at our sides for months. In purses, backpacks, pockets, you name it they’ve been there. Then they’re in your ears and around your face. The number of bacteria they can collect is astounding. If you’re grossed out, grab your headphones and a cloth and wipe them off with gentle soap or another kind of disinfecting wipe.

We hope you have a clean and happy spring!
