If there’s one thing that kids and adults can agree on, it’s that the Harlem Globetrotters are amazing. The Globetrotters wow people of all ages with their talent and skills, and you can see them in person when they come to Omaha. The Harlem Globetrotters are going to show off their amazing skills at the CHI Health Center Arena on April 5 at 3 p.m. Tickets start at $24 or you can sit courtside for $109.
Will this be your first time seeing the Harlem Globetrotters live? Check out what you can expect when the team takes the court.
Good, Clean Fun
You’ll be amazed when you watch the team fly around the court, performing numerous tricks. Their bag of tricks includes some mad dribbling skills and four-point shots.
They don’t just excel at basketball, though. They are also masters of comedy. Many of the players wear microphones so the audience can hear their comedic antics during the game. The game often stops for comedy skits, including mixing it up with the referee. And the comedy doesn’t stop if the ref has to review a play. Instead of watching a video, the players go into rewind mode. They physically rewind the play, moving in reverse. You’ll have a hard time controlling your laughter when this happens.
Then, there’s Globie. He’s the Globetrotters’ mascot, and he puts on a show of his own. He’s known for his slick dance moves that add another dose of humor to an already entertaining show.
The show might be funny, but the players keep it clean, so it’s good for all ages. Your little ones will enjoy it just as much as you do.
An Inspiring Show
You might spend most of the show laughing, but you’ll also get inspired when you attend this event. The team talks to the audience, explaining the importance of reaching for their dreams and never giving up. Your kids are sure to gain some self-confidence after hearing these speeches. You might even feel your own heart swell as you realize you can reach your dreams as well.
Stick Around for Autographs
Don’t leave as soon as the show is over. The Globetrotters hang out on the court for an extended autograph session. You’ll probably have to stand in a long line to wait for your chance, but it’s worth it to see the smile on your kids’ faces. Along with the autograph, the players will take a minute to talk to your kids before moving onto the next person in line. This is an excellent way to create some family memories. When your kids have children of their own, they’ll tell them about the time you took them to see the Harlem Globetrotters and how they got an autograph.
