Become part of the diverse Honda community to enjoy a welcoming atmosphere for owners and employees alike. Throughout its history, Honda has worked to be involved in the community, including supporting minority groups. These efforts have been recognized with four different diversity awards recently.
The Diversity Volume Leadership Awards
The Diversity Volume Leadership Awards took place in January. This was the first of what will hopefully become a repeated part of the North American International Auto Show. At the award ceremony, Honda received an impressive four awards from IHS Automotive and NAMAD (the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers).
Both the Honda CR-V and Honda Accord received recognition for their national sales leadership among ethnic millennials and women in 2015. The CR-V was crowned the Top Women’s Vehicle; the Accord was honored as the Top Ethnic Millennial Vehicle. Additionally, the Honda Civic and Accord received recognition within the Western and Mideast regions, respectively, for being Ethnic Volume Leaders.
What It Means
The combination of diversity awards received by Honda shows that the dedication to reaching all audiences has been successful. Honda officials said that the awards reflect the commitment to innovation and understanding the requirements of a diverse range of customers. As the only awards event of its type, the Diversity Volume Leadership Awards are a good indication of which automakers are driving the most sales from multicultural consumers.
You can join the diverse Honda drivers across the country by configuring your own vehicle at O’Daniel Honda in Omaha, Nebraska.
