The three-day festival showcases local food, music, and other entertainment. The entire event demonstrates what makes Omaha so special. Music and Entertainment
Four stages will be set up for music, dance, kids’ activities, and more over the weekend. From classic rock and Motown to magic shows and belly dancing, the Taste of Omaha has it all. Here are some samples of what people can find at the festival.
- Nebraska Lottery Stage. This stage will feature country, rhythm, classic rock, blues, and other genres that are sure to get people stomping their feet. Performances you can watch include Jordan Harvey, Jim Phantom from Stray Cats, the family-friendly rock band HIGH HEEL, and The Personics.
- Rotella’s Bakery Stage. Motown fans will want to visit the Rotella’s Bakery Stage. Acts you can enjoy at the Rotella’s Bakery Stage are Spectrum and a Journey tribute band, Revelation, as well as a mix of blues and classic rock.
- Veridian World Dance Stage. Dancing will take place at the Veridian World Dance Stage, starting with a performance by the Omaha Street Percussion. Other performances include Raices de Mexico and Dowds Irish Dance Academy performers.
- KidZone Stage. There will be plenty of acts to keep the young ones entertained all weekend long at the Annual Taste of Omaha festival. If your kids are fans of magic, illusions, and card tricks, then they will want to watch the “Amazing Lindy.” For those who want to see exotic animals up close, the “Wildlife Encounters” is must-see performance. There will be plenty of other acts that incorporate magic, wildlife, music, and puppets.
The biggest star of the weekend is the food. There will be plenty of it to go around as there will be an array of restaurants representing at the festival. Barbecue lovers can enjoy dishes from Uncle Earnie’s BBQ, Smokin’ Gunz Bar-B-Que, Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ, Wayne’s New Skoo BBQ, etc.
There will also be plenty of international cuisine to explore at the festival. Checkout entrees from Okra African Grill, Maharani Indian Kitchen, Tixteco Mexican Restaurant, and Pim’s Thai Catering. If you would like to enjoy a sweet treat, then there will be plenty of options. Dessert vendors will include the ECREAMERY’S Ice Cream & Cookie Truck, Serendipity Chocolates, and Jones Bros. Cupcakes.

This Taste of Omaha festival has been voted the Best of Omaha and received other accolades throughout its history. This year, The Taste of Omaha will be held June 2nd through the 4th in Ralston.
